Green energy from fermentation
Ecoson belongs to the biggest producers of green energy from fermentation in the Netherlands. This energy is used for their own production and by the neighbouring Rendac company. This allows Rendac to meet a substantial part of its energy needs and the company thereby achieves a considerable CO2 reduction. In the case of an energy surplus, Ecoson supplies green energy back to the grid.
Reliable biofuels
Category 1 animal fat for removal is the input material for Ecoson’s liquid biofuels. Ecoson Bioline (de-acidified fat) is suitable for use in CHPs and as raw material for the production of second generation biofuels. Subsequent process steps convert the Bioline to Ecoson Biodiesel. Both products are sustainable alternatives for natural gas, fossil diesel and both light and heavy heating oils.
Processing manure effluent
Manure effluent is a result of manure processing. Ecoson offers sustainable solutions for the processing of this raw material, too. One preparation step constitutes a separation of solids and liquids. The water treatment plant processes the watery part. And the fermentation facility creates green energy from the solids in the manure. This way, Ecoson removes significant amounts of phosphate in manure from the agricultural cycle and in doing so offers important advantages to both suppliers of manure effluent and the environment. A clear case of a win-win situation.
